People come to therapy for so many reasons:
  • the pain of depression, anger, anxiety or low self-esteem.
  • career and life transitions.
  • loss of a loved one.
  • relationship dissatisfaction and/or divorce.
  • unexpected life events, such as a health crisis or trauma.

Sometimes it's the awareness of mortality or an inclination toward personal growth. They share a call from within asking us to pay attention.

I am a skilled, trained, compassionate guide. I facilitate the connection with one's inner wisdom, to inform the right way forward toward greater emotional fulfillment in work, play and love.

Relationship Specialist:  Coupling and Uncoupling Well

Pre-Commitment Preparation
Couples who have had pre-commitment preparation often say it has been a touchstone for their relationship in the years ahead. This short-term educational/discussion format will focus on: expectations of partnership, communication do’s and don’ts, stages of couplehood and  value definition as it relates to common areas of couple concerns such as extended family, children, sex, and finances

Couples/Marital Counseling
Goals include:  Building a solid base of connection,  strengthening positive communication, decreasing negative communication, developing shared meaning  in living life together, and developing skills in  productive conversation in working out differences and injuries/wounds.

Divorce is hard on everyone. I support and guide individuals, couples and families through the divorce process.  I help to create a new path forward toward fulfilling possibilities.

I am also a divorce coach in collaborative practice. Collaborative practice is a team, non-adversarial approach where attorneys and other professionals work together to bring closure to a marriage.

Singles Coaching
A structured,  goal-oriented supportive process where singles often seek to find greater enjoyment of life as a single person and/or develop a strategy to search for a partner.

Individual Therapy for Singles
Dating, relationships and the kinds of connections we are choosing are at their core a reflection of one's inner state of life. The process of dating and coupling and uncoupling often bring to awareness a motivation for self-exploration and personal growth.

Wisdom at Midlife: Personal Growth Group

“One cannot live the afternoon of one’s life in the way of the morning.”(C. Jung)

Midlife is a time to become ourselves as fully as we are able to within the limits imposed on us. It is a time of inventory taking and re-definition. At mid-life we begin to seriously address the question: And did you get what you wanted from this life even so? (R. Carver)  This group will serve as a guide and support with the developmental imperatives common to this age.
